ZX-HD HDMI interface + Rasperry Pi Zero – complete set

The Raspbery Pi Zero is still extremely hard to obtain!
RaspberryPi.org cannot supply us these directly at this moment,
because of worldwide parts shortage.
Sometimes some retailers have stock, but we are not allowed to buy bulk from them.
More Raspberry Pi Zero may be available in Q2/Q3 2022, we’re unsure.

If possible, it’s best, and most probably cheaper, to obtain one locally at e.g.:
UK Pimoroni
Germany BerryBase
Switzerland PiShop

The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 is NOT yet supported!
The ZX-HD requires a Raspberry Pi Zero or Raspberry Pi Zero W / WH.

  1. Does this carry sound on the Spectrum 128k (toastrack) and Harlequin 128? If not what is the best way to utilise sound thru TV?

    • Not yet, and most probably not with the current Raspberry Pi Zero board on it, since it is not fast enough to also process audio.
There was a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 released a couple of weeks ago, and my developer has spent some time looking into that as a successor to the Zero (1) for more features like audio.

Most ZX-HD users have external speakers or an amplifier to output audio.
Some TV’s allow you to use an analogue audio input when an HDMI video input is used.
